Hey Tapmeister!

Welcome to Lesson 4 of the mini-course, Your EFT Business Breakthrough.

Don't worry if you still don't fully understand all the steps of the Sales Funnel. All will become clear soon...

In Lesson 4 we are going to go in depth into the first step of the Sales Funnel, the Visibility Step, which is to put yourself out there so that prospective clients know that you exist.

Step 1: Visibility - Ways to Become Visible to Your Ideal Tribe

This step is all about letting the public know that you exist and can help them with their problem in your specific niche. You do this by using one of the powerful Internet venues that will make you visible to a HUGE group of people.

Know, Like and Trust - Using All of One's Senses

But first, let's talk a bit more about the "know, like and trust" factor. The very best way for people to start to know, like and trust you is to experience you in person.

For instance, if you gave an in person workshop, the participants will experience you with all of their senses, up close and personal.

This could include shaking your hand at the beginning of the workshop and maybe even sharing a hug at the end.

Live workshops are great venues in that way, and I encourage you to do this, especially when just starting out as a way to get a few clients quickly.

The only problem with live, local workshops is that you can't reach many people. That's why we want to use one of the venues on the Internet.

The more senses a person uses to experience you, the quicker and more fully they can get to know, like and trust you.

Therefore, the next best way to share yourself is through videos where people can see you, hear you, and see you in action. Your personality comes through the best using videos.

However, if you're not comfortable making videos, there are other venues as well.

The 3 Most Effective Venues on the Internet:

  • YouTube videos
  • Facebook groups (either starting your own or being a big participant in an existing group)
  • Your own podcast

There are other venues as well, but these are the most powerful and effective venues that I would recommend.

Each one gives you visibility and importantly sets you up as an expert. It's really up to you to to pick the venue that feels the most right for you.

YouTube Videos

Videos are the second best way to give people an opportunity to experience you directly and start to get to know, like and trust you.

To give you an idea of what is possible, at the time of this writing in 2019, I had over 19,000 subscribers and 2,000,000 views of my videos.

It took me a number of years to get there, but you can see how far this can go. YouTube has been great for my visibility.

The only issue with YouTube videos is that it's mostly a one-way interaction.

You have some opportunity to have a limited dialog when people post comments, but that's it.

The big advantage of YouTube is that people go to YouTube specifically to get help with their problems.

In fact, YouTube is the second biggest search engine on the Internet after Google!

Facebook Groups

Starting your own Facebook group about your niche is a great option. As the owner of the group, you are immediately seen as an expert.

You have many opportunities to have conversations with the members of the group so that people start to feel like members of your tribe.

The tribal feeling is also enhanced by the members of the group responding to each other. In this way, the members of the group do some of the work for you!

The downsides are that you will have to spend around 30 to 45 minutes in the group pretty much every day, and video is a better way to help people quickly get to know, like and trust you.

However, you can do Facebook Live videos in your group to address the second issue.

Live videos have the advantage that people not only experience you on video, they also have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers. Pretty cool! A number of successful EFT practitioners run their own groups.

Remember that your niche is more important than the fact that you are using EFT. If I were to set up a Facebook group, I would call it "Single 2 Soulmate" and not mention EFT in the name.

In the group I would emphasize my niche of finding love in my posts and videos. Over time I could introduce people to EFT.

Facebook groups are a great way to develop an intimate following.

Podcasts

Creating a podcast about your niche is another powerful option. Again, you are immediately seen as an expert just by the fact that it's your podcast.

You have regular (typically weekly) opportunities to share yourself with the subscribers of your podcast so that they get to know, like and trust you and feel confident that you can help.

Audio is not quite as good as video for helping people to get to know you, though it's much better than just writing since they hear your voice and can feel your personality.

And, podcasts have the big advantage that people listen to them in their car, which makes them easier to consume than watching your videos.

Podcasts are also like YouTube in that people search podcast directories to find podcasts in areas of interest.

Once they have subscribed to your podcast they will tend to stay with you for a long time.

When new people sign up, they see all of your existing podcasts and can listen to the ones that interest them as well as getting notified of your new episodes.

Podcasts have one special advantage for your business. If you are able to get a large following on your podcast, you can get sponsors that will pay you $1,000 per episode and you can have up to two sponsors per episode.

Imagine having a weekly podcast resulting in $8,000 per month just from the sponsorship. That's $96,000 per year just from your podcast!

The downside of podcasts is that they take more effort to set up, and you are on the hook for weekly episodes or at least every other week.

One upside to podcasts is that you don't have to generate all of the content yourself. You can interview other experts in your niche or related niches for episodes.

If your interviewee promotes something on your podcast, you can even get commissions on their sales!

So, these are the 3 most powerful and effective venues for putting yourself out there that I know.

All 3 also give you ongoing opportunities to develop Step 4 of the Sales Funnel, which is to Build Relationship and Give Value. We'll get to that step in a later lesson.

I invite you to explore each of these three options and decide which one feels right for you. If one of them seems good but scary, you can tap on that!

Caution

Do not try to do more than one venue. There are people who read about all of the different venues and think, "I'll do ALL of them!"

They think that this means that they have more opportunities to be seen, but instead they just become scattered and diluted.

The problem with doing more than one venue is that you can't do multiple venues justice. In order to get good results, you need to get a lot of momentum going within your chosen venue. Having a little bit in multiple places doesn't lead to much at all.

What About Blog Posts and Articles?

You may be wondering why I'm not recommending writing blog articles as a way to gain visibility and start the know, like and trust factor...

Blog posts and articles on your web site have a problem:

Blog posts and articles on your web site are not visible to people who don't already know you.

It's not that likely that people will find your blog posts or articles on your web site doing a Google search.

Blog posts and articles are much better suited to Step 4, Build Relationship and Give Value, where you can notify your mailing list each time you post a new one. (We'll talk more about this later.)

However, the other three venues that I recommended are the best at giving you visibility to the widest possible audience in a way that works best for feeding into your Sales Funnel.

The Potentially Scary Part

The Visibility Step is often the scariest for EFT practitioners (and everyone really). This is because this is the step where you are facing putting yourself out there.

Putting yourself out there can feel very vulnerable and scary.

It's easy to feel vulnerable because you're not just giving information. You are putting your very self out there for all the world to see.

This can bring up a lot of fears and limiting beliefs...

  • Afraid that people will judge me
  • Afraid that no one will want what I'm offering
  • I don't feel good enough - "Who am I to think that I have something to offer?"
  • Afraid I'll be attacked or ridiculed
  • Afraid I won't be able to handle the technical parts

You can see that these fears and limiting beliefs could stop many people in their tracks.

Or they could result in putting yourself out there in a way that comes across as insecure instead of happy and confident.

Of course, the cool thing is that we have EFT to tap through these fears and limiting beliefs! Many non-EFT people trying to build their businesses get really stuck here.

EFT Exercise

A great thing to do is to imagine that you are putting out your first piece of content in your chosen venue. This could be your first video or posting in your new Facebook group or your first podcast.

Now notice all of the fears and limiting beliefs that come up for you as you imagine doing it. Write them down and rate each one.

Then use your EFT skills to tap through them one by one until you are excited and looking forward to doing this! You really can do it! I'm also available for sessions if you need help with this.

In Lesson 5 you'll learn what kinds of things to talk about in your chosen venue in order to engage with your audience and generate enough interest to get people to sign up for your mailing list and have an ongoing relationship with them (ie. they become members of your tribe!).

Stay tuned!

Warmly,
Stefan
